Blanche-
So sorry to hear about your loss! I really enjoyed getting to know you and Alvie when he was a patient with us in the Heart Failure Clinic at Mercy. He was a very funny and caring man. I'll never forget how he would jump and yell "ouch" before I even had a needle near him. He loved to make people laugh, and he was great at it!
I'll keep you and your family in my prayers as you go through this difficult time. In my 15 years of nursing, Alvie was definetely one of my most favorite patients and most memorable!

Alvie was a good person. He was always there to help my parents. I know that Alvie and my Dad have already caught a ton of fish in the short time they have been reunited this past week. We spent many a late night on the fire line fighting fires side by side. He will surely be missed by many. Stay in contact with us, Blanche. Mom always looks forward to your calls.

I am the cashier at the BP station where Alvie often got his gas.
I was saddened to hear of his passing, as he was one of my favorite customers.
Always upbeat with a great attitude and smile, and of course ornery as ever! He will surely be missed.
My condolences to the family.

Alvie was a member of our extended family and will be greatly missed. He was more like a brother to us and an uncle to our children and greatuncle to our grandchildren. Virgil worked with Alvie at Armstong for 30 years and they also tackled and completed many garage and home projects. It was good to know he left from home surrounded by his wonderful loving family.....See you later Alv<3

Blanche and Family, please accept my condolences. Being a Webb girl I grew up with Alvie as my extended family, more like my Uncle Alvie. Many wonderful memories I cherish every day are the times in Missouri at Grandma and Grandpa's house where we all were a BIG family and the family reunions.
