Stanley B. Blanchard

Stanley Bruce Blanchard, 76, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center.
Stanley was born March 5, 1935, in Madrid, Iowa, to John and Frances Blanchard. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. Stanley retired from Kaiser Construction and most recently worked for NPI Security.
Stanley is survived by his son, Bruce Blanchard; siblings, Roger Blanchard and Judy Rippenger; seven grandchildren ten great-grandchildren and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche “Colleen” Blanchard; children, James Blanchard and Cheryl Whitlatch; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

My heart goes out to all family members. May you find peace and comfort. Uncle Stan was a great man. I remember the Christmas's he would come and wake us all up at 5AM to unwrap presents. He was the best present to all off us, may he rest in peace. Love Ya!!!!
