Judy Houseman died today Brian. She was a wonderful coworker of ours from many years ago. It made me think of you and then I looked up your old obituary and I could not believe I did not leave a message. I guess I was busy missing you and making sure Margueritte was okay! We both miss you so much! It's been so long! You had a wonderful smile and a beautiful heart! I miss talking to you! I love you friend! :red_heart:

It makes you realize just how fast life is and you should see your family more often and give them a hug when you have the chance. My prayers are with his family.Love you, Nancy

I first met Brian when I applied for a job at Wakonda in 2004. He was always so helpful, especially when I was still getting the hang of things. He and my dad were friends as well, it was a pretty awesome arrangement. Brian will be missed by so many, and rightfully so. From what I remember he was never quick to anger, he was kind, and loved life. RIP Brian, I will miss you.

Brian was the kindest person I have ever met. He always looked out for us and always had a smile for his staff in the morning. You were an awesome dad and grandfather because you always talked about your family and how much you loved them. We; your staff will always miss you, but never forgett you. Love you Boss man.

We lived by Brian for many years. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family. He was such a sweet man, we attended many family functions, fish frys and just stopping over to the house to chat. Kyle and Kailey "were thinking of you"

I worked with Brian at Wakonda and as a young manager fresh out of college, Brian took me under his wing...he was like my Des Moines Dad. If there was anything I needed, personally or professionally, he was always happy to help. He was welcoming to new employees and made them feel like part of the family right away. My heart hurts because Wakonda will not be the same without him. It is comforting to know that his final days were spent with great friends and doing what he loved--fishing! He will be missed by so many. Sending hugs and prayers to his family, friends and co-workers.

Our prayers and love go out to you Kyle, Kailey, Sheryl and family and friends. Brian was an awesome guy - full of humor and kind words with such a beautiful smile and sparkle in his eyes. He helped us out many times when we were neighbors. He would do anything for anyone. A top notch guy taken way too soon. Thinking of you. God bless.

A man full of life taken from all of us too soon. My thoughts and prayers to Kyle and Kailey in your time of sorrow. Also my sympathy to Brian's extended family. You all have a special angel looking down on you. My daughter, Rachel & Kailey were best friends in pre-school through elementary school until the Coates' moved to Norwalk. I remained friends w/Brian long after different schools separated our girls. He will be missed.

I had the privilege of working with Brian at Wakonda from 2002-2004. He was always nice, helpful, patient and fun. He always talked about his kids so much so, that I felt like I knew Kyle and Kailey too. He was an amazing person and will be greatly missed. You could always count on him to help with anything. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, his fiancé, friends and his Wakonda family.
