Ameisha Michelle Heard
May 07, 2014
Ameisha Michelle Heard was born August 3, 1994 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Amos Estes Heard Jr. and Donna Jo Michelle Aunspach. She was taken much too soon on May 7, 2014 at the age of 19.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15 at New Hope Assembly of God Church, 4425 70th Street, Urbandale with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Ameisha was full of life. She was a spunky and vibrant teenage girl with a bubbly personality. Ameisha was all about having fun, but she had a good head on her shoulders too. Her family liked to tease her that she was a bit of a diva, because she knew how beautiful she was; but her beauty carried to the inside as well. She had a great sense of humor, so much so that it was sometimes hard to get her to be serious. Ameisha was a member of the Isiserettes for three years. She loved dancing and music, clowning around with her brothers and sisters, and hanging with her friends and family.
She is lovingly remembered by her father, Amos Estes Heard Jr.; mother, Donna Jo Michelle Aunspach; her very special aunt, Pamela Jean Heard; sisters, Jacqualynn Newsome and Jonnessa Ray Aunspach; brothers, Amos Estes Heard III, Ariez Shaqur Heard, Andre Trayvon Heard, and Jarvis Dewayne Aunspach; nephew, Sir Gregory Estes Newsome; niece, Ceajia Jolee Newsome; grandparents, Donna Jean Heard, Larry Aunspach, Amos Estes Freeman, and Samuel Lee Heard; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jackie Aunspach and James O. Lee.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ameisha Heard Memorial Fund through US Bank.

Words cannot begin to express the complete shock of this tragedy... I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember Ameisha's smile and all her hugs:) She used to call downstairs for me to come visit her in her classroom - to say hello, chit chat, and to give me a hug. She knew me as Ms. Holley. I taught at the school she attended - Bridges. She had a beautiful smile, unbelievable energy, a warm heart and a caring soul. She truly enjoyed giving and receiving attention from the staff:) I will be praying for healing and comfort for her family and will always remember the warmth felt in her smiles and hugs. God bless.

Such a tragedy and truly senseless for a child to be taken at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers are with you Donna, and your family.
