Service Details
Rose Marie Holloway, 82, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Dr. in Pleasant Hill, IA.
Rose was born on January 25, 1932 in Whiting, IA to Myrna (Law) and Clarence Hale. She graduated from Whiting High School and attended college. Rose married Rod Holloway and the couple celebrated over 61 years together. Rose was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, needlepoint, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Rising Sun Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Rod; children, Jim (Melody), Mark, and Susan (Tom) Hess; grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon and Marissa Holloway, and Andrew and Megan Hess; her sisters, Ellen McClure and Nancy Brenden; and sister-in-law, Trudie (Dan) DePasquale. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Ruth Swan and Mollie Rowe.

This is my Aunt Rosie. Awesome woman. So smart and fun. I spent a few summer weeks at their house. MANY great memories being with her and Uncle Rod and the family. She always told it like it was. Will miss her so much. Love to Jim Mark Sue and Uncle Rod
