Colby Mann
July 23, 2014
Colby Mann had a great smile; it radiated from the inside out. He was a funny, entertaining guy who made others feel welcome. Colby lived life to its fullest, at full throttle. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family and was very humble and down to earth. He had a free spirit, was very motivated and loyal. Colby was family-oriented, loved working with his dad, and was a member of Carpenters Union 106. Still a bit of a kid at heart, Colby loved Star Wars and Batman. On Wednesday, July 23rd, the day DC Comics declared National Batman Day, Colby’s spirit left this earth at age 22.
He will be forever missed by his father, Derek; mother, Robbin; sister, Olivia; girlfriend, Reetzi; grandparents, Connie Dake, Eugene (Olga) Mann, and Emily Mann; and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Dake.
A celebration of Colby’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Carpenters Union Hall Local 106, 3851 Delaware Avenue in Des Moines. Friends may visit with family one hour prior to services.

Robbin, Derek and Olivia - What you are having to go through right now I can't even imagine and there is nothing I can say that would make this any easier at all. Just know that you and your extended families are being thought of and prayed for constantly right now.

Colby you will always hold a special place in my heart. I can still see you standing in front of my desk with the attendance for your class. And the last time I saw you, you gave me a big hug. Your smile will be in my heart forever.
