Sharon Ann Campbell-Utterson
September 27, 2014
Today Heaven received another angel. After many years of being ill, Sharon, gave into our creators calling. Born on March 3, 1944 to Lloyd and Grace (Lanza) Campbell she was raised in Collins, IA., where she enjoyed time at the family owned Collins Café, playing basketball, cheerleading and several dance competitions.
Sharon married Robert O. Utterson and raised two children. She worked at Watrous Elementary and Principal Financial for many years until she became disabled. After the passing of Robert, she met a very special friend, Denny Smith who has brought her a lot of laughter and who filled a void in her family. They enjoyed being snow birds in Mesa, AZ. For the last 20 years.
Sharon had a love for life and enjoyed celebrating others birthdays, holidays and everything that brought a smile to your face. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her children, Steven R. (Teresa) Utterson and Laurie (Scott) Cozad; grandchildren, Kristin Zellers, Kourtney & Kelsey Utterson; great-grandson, Kayden Allen; sister, Katherine Daniel; special companion, Denny Smith; and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert O. Utterson.

We were so sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. She was a very special friend during our growing up years, and we did manage to stay in touch later on in life, although the last time I saw her and Dennis was in 2010 at her home in Des Moines. Sharon truly was a very kind and loving person, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A friend loveth at all times. Proverbs 17:17
Sharon,
this phrase is bookmarked in my Bible with a picture of You, Steve and Laurie; along with a picture of your Mother (Grace) and my Grandmother (Mary).
Mere words can'not express the flood of memories that I have of you and your family.
Life is brief! Life is precious!See ya in Heaven!

An angel indeed. I had the opportunity last winter to talk to Sharon about her faith. She witnessed to me that she loved Jesus and believed that He lived and died and rose from the dead that she too would have eternal life with Him and all her loved ones that had gone before her. And that everyone was taking such good care of her. She told me that she was looking forward to having no more pain and suffering and that she was in great anticipation of having a new body free of disabilities and that she was ready to get up and move about like she used to. I talked with her again on the phone a couple weeks ago and she said she was at peace and ready to let go of this life and all the suffering. She said she was glad that she had had the time to say goodbye to all her loving family. She was such a beautiful lady and will be missed greatly by so many. There was a great welcome home party in Heaven and she was the guest of honor. Love to you all, especially Denny. Most sincerely, Linda Potter

Steve I am so sorry to hear of your Moms passing. I enjoyed working with her. She was a beautiful Lady inside and out. I also have fond memories of you bringing mail to my work area at PFG. I used to tease you about bringing Dairy Queen to me on your next mail run. Back then good times and good people. You are a great guy and I hope life has been kind to you. I
