We extend our sympathies to all of the Layton family. We have many fond memories of Cliff as our neighbor at Lake Ponderosa. He always had time to visit and educate us on the Bay of Pigs!

Nadine - Mom and I wanted to let you and your family know we were deeply saddened by Cliff's loss. He was such good, decent, guy... with a good quick wit and a lot of spunk - I always liked that in him! We will miss seeing him in his usual spot in the pew... You take care and know, you are in our thoughts.

Captain Layton was my superior in the Administrative Division of the DMPD when I started back in 1985. He was a wonderful person to work for and a wonderful family man. I know he had been retired for a long time, but I still miss him and his leadership. Carolyn, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. Know that I respected both you and your brother. You were both great to work with. To the the rest of the Layton family, know that he is at peace and looking down upon all of you. He shall forever be in your hearts and memories.

To the Layton Family:
I was so sorry to learn of Mr. Layton's death. I feel your pain and know this is not an easy time for any of you. I know you have many happy memories of him and my hope for you is that the memories will help to overcome your grief. My father was Tom Teale, he and Mr. Layton worked together for many years. I know dad held respect for him.
