November 05, 2014.
Paul,You were such a sweet guy. You were very welcoming to Sergio and I when we first moved to Iowa from NYC in 1995. You were always there to answer our questions about grass seed, lawn mowers and tree stump removal. We were just city kids back then. You helped us move into our first home. When we tried to pay you for your efforts you refused to take it. You finally agreed upon some Skoal as payment. It didn't take much to make you happy. You loved your sister Kathy, your son Danny, Kathy's daughters and their kids as well. You loved wearing baseball caps and sneakers and usually had a Skoal and Dr. Pepper with you at all times. You just lived life so simply and more of us should follow your lead. You spent quality time with your best friend Bruce Davis and his family. You two were like brothers. You both went fishing together, worked on home projects together and you and Bruce occasionally ate Sausage sandwiches with peppers and onions together - at the same restaurant you've been going to since the two of you were just kids. You will be missed by many people Paul. May God take good care of you. Goodbye for now friend. XOXO

I'm very sad to hear of Paul's passing. He dedicated his career too the beautification of a Institute not many people want too spend much time at. He deserves a place in heaven for helping Lutheran hospital be such a beautiful campus.

I was sorry to hear today that Paul had passed away. I have known Paul as a co-worker for 30 years and it was my privilege to know him. Paul always had a friendly wave and hello whether on a piece of equipment, walking the grounds, or in the parking lot. To family and friends, may you allow God's Grace to surround you now and in the days ahead. I will miss him.

It's been said "The Good die young", I'm of the opinion, Paul was taken from us because God needed good people with him too. You could not find a better person than Paul. I've been friends with him for over 30 years,I'll miss him.

Our earthly world has lost a one of a kind individual, my good friend and coworker Pauly. It's impossible to descibe Paul in a few sentences. Those of us lucky enough to have known him will understand, loyal, trustworthy, dependable come quickly to mind also stubbornness! It has been my privilege and honor to consider him a best friend and I know he has a place in our Lord's kingdom. R.I.P. Marchie
