Virginia “Gigi”, 23, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 13, 2014 at home in Des Moines. She was born November 11, 1991 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Gigi was a long time employee with Jethro’s and also worked at Buffalo Wild Wings. She graduated from Clarinda Academy. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, shopping and fishing.
Gigi is survived by her parents, Paul and Susan Floyd; siblings, Kimberly (Jim) Hand, Keith (Kim) Floyd, Jeff (Lisa) Floyd, Dustin (Nichole) Floyd, Bradley Floyd, Velia Floyd, Jason Floyd, Richard Floyd and Brianna Floyd; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of beloved friends.
Gigi is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Doris and Charles Brafford; maternal grandfather, Louis Tharp; and paternal grandparents, Noble and Jean Floyd.
Funeral services will be12:00 pm, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Friends may visit with family from 5:00 until 8:00pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the funeral home.

I am so terribly sorry to hear the news of Gigi's passing. She was a beautiful and very intelligent young lady. my thoughts and prayers go out to this entire family at this time. I have had the pleasure of knowing the Floyd children as my kids went to school with theirs. She is an angel now watching over all of us.
