Ethel J. Reynolds, 81, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday (TODAY) at the funeral home.
Ethel was born April 4, 1933 in Missouri to Alvia and Rose (Burns) Snow. She married the love of her life, Clyde Reynolds in 1956. She was a homemaker most of her life and then a food service coordinator for the Des Moines Schools.
Ethel loved to go camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting. She enjoyed country western music and loved to dance. Ethel played multiple instruments including the piano, organ, guitar, accordion, and harmonica, all by ear. She loved every year when the Iowa State Fair came around and dearly loved her dog, Missy.
Ethel is survived by her daughters, Linda (Marty) Pittman and Jackie (Wayne) Huegerich; grandchildren, Gary Nichols, Darcy Nichols, Tim Huegerich, Matt (Jana) Huegerich, and Brittany (Clinton) Ross; great-grandsons, Hunter and Kolton; sisters, Fern and Hazel; and a host of other family and beloved friends
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Reynolds; son, William “Bill” Reynolds; parents; brothers, Pike, Nick, Marty, Art, and Tee; and sisters, Mary and Glennie.

Jackie & Linda we are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Our prayers are with you two. She is probably up there playing the organ, and your Dad and Bill are singing and dancing along to the music. She is reunited with her men.
