Nick Johnson
December 14, 2014
Nick Johnson born November 7, 1998, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014.
He grew up in the Colfax area where he attended elementary and middle school. Nick was currently a freshman at Lincoln High School. He was an intelligent young man involved in the Gifted and Talented Program. Nick liked to strive for the more complicated things in life such as the Arabic class he had recently taken. He was a typical teenager who had a way with sarcasm, joking around and loved playing computer and video games.
Those who really knew him, loved him. Nick was very protective, considerate and caring to those within his close circle.
Nick is survived by his mother, Shawna (Tyrone) Morgan; father, Eric Johnson; siblings, Kayla Johnson, Hannah Johnson and Stephen Cooper; beloved nephew, Ezra Johnson; grandparents, Sandy Anderson, John “Smokey” (Rhonda) Parks, Marlin “Marly” (Lois) Johnson and Julie (Jim) Sherman; great-grandparents, Wanda Parks and Cecil “Bud” (Betty) Parks; best friend, Nova Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Nick was in my class last year at McCombs. He shared some math resources with me, and had a wonderful sense of humor. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed working with and getting to know Nick last year. He will truly be missed.
