Marty, Just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you. Nancy & I thought Caryl was an awesome guy. So easy to talk to and laugh with. Caryl was a sense of comfort for me when my dad passed suddenly years ago and will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless.

My condolences to the family.
When I was growing up near Woodburn in southern IA. We were next door neighbors on the farm to Caryl's grandparents, Walter and Belle Manley.
I went to county school with his cousins, Mary, Marion, and Myron Manley. I also was a teacher in Ankeny with sister and brother-in-law Carolyn & Daryl Mullins and frequently saw his nephew Bill @ the downtown YMCA as we attempted to stay in shape.
You are all in our thoughts and Prayers @ this most difficult time.
When we were kids we would get together and play around the farms---sledding in the winter and playing cards when it was too cold to be outside.

My sympathy to Marty and family at this sad time. I met Mac my freshman year at Simpson College when we were both in the same pledge class of Kappa Theta Psi fraternity. Over the years we have enjoyed many activities together with friends and family. When he owned the small neighborhood grocery store with his Dad, it was a great hangout for the "restless" salesman to kill some time between sales calls. Like Marty and Bill, I will miss him immensely.

Marty:
Jeanne emailed us & told us the news of Ace's passing. Please know that you have been, are now & will continue to be in our thoughts & prayers. We had hoped so much that Ace could come out of this long health struggle and continue to be with you. Jeanne told us of the many issues, ups & downs thru the last 3 months. You did as much as you could to help thru all of this, but I guess it was not to be. God decided to call him home to be with him. He is well & not in pain but we know you would rather have him back with you if he could have only gotten better! Again, we are thinking of you as you make the journey thru the next days to come and as you grieve after that. We are so sorry for your loss! Sending hugs...
