Vonnie Jane Zenor, 75, was born July 20, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of George and Clara (Wilson) Hess. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family on March 14, 2015.

She is preceded in death by parents; husband, Ray Zenor, Sr.; and daughter, Shelly Dunaway. Vonnie is survived by her children, Shawna Foster, Julie Thompson, Ray Zenor, Jr., Mike Zenor and Melissa Zenor; thirteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lewis (Judy) Hess, Beverly Murphy, Bonnie Jones and Shirley DeBoe; and her best friend, Dorothy Mericle.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015, with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
