Dear Mr. Ganev, my deep condolences for Yank's passing. I have never seen her in person, but always imagine her as in this pictures- smiling. She was the most positive, self confident and strong person I know. I admire her. I told her that I am her fan (???). Rest in peace, Yanka.

Darlene Forret I am so sadden by the passing of Yanka. When we worked together she said I was her Engllish teacher. When I retired she knit me a green scarf that I still use in the winter time. I will cherish that scarf for ever. What a great and wonderful person she was. There will be a hole in the lives of those she touched.

Lilia, My condolences to you & your family. Your mom would speak of her love of her home by the sea in her birth country. Her face would light up with love & pride when she would speak about her grandkids (She had pics of them on her desk at Mercy) I remember she brought in traditional sweets on her birthday to share with everyone. She gave me a Bulgarian birthday name: Ireinia (my middle name: Irene) & told me I must bring treats for everyone on my birthday. I haven't followed thru but I do think of her on my birthday. I had complimented her on her scarf that she had wrapped around her coat that was hanging by her cubicle. A couple of days later, I had a beautiful scarf on my desk that she had crocheted for me. My scarf provided warmth & comfort during wintertime. My mom took ownership of my scarf & provided warmth & comfort during her battle with cancer. I will always keep my memories of your loving mom close to my heart.

Very sorry for your family's loss. Yanka is a loving, caring and warm hearted co-worker. I treasured her company, her stories, but most of all her. I treasure her gift of rose oil, and I know how proud she was of her country. Peace be with you.
