Todd Allen Gray, 48, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa to Joseph Gray and Judy Sandvig. He graduated from North High School. Todd was active in Highland Park Little League where he served as a coach and an umpire. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid Hawkeye fan. Todd loved spending time with his grandchildren and was a very talented artist and writer.
Todd is survived by his wife, DeLoris; children, Morgan Gray and Kyr Gray (Trinity); mother, Judy Sandvig; father, Joseph Gray (Peggy); grandchildren, Kynan, Kyler, and Aniya; sisters, Kimberly Gray-Hairston and Pennee Tracey (Glen); sister-in-law, Ann Howser; grandmother, Viva Hansen; mother-in-law, Marquetta Joelson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin Hansen and Harold and Elva Ogren; brother, Bryan Howser; and father-in-law, Ronald Joelson.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., with a celebration of life to begin at 11 a.m., Monday, February 15, 2016, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Todd.

I was there the day Todd came home from the hospital. I have so many fun memories of him as a young boy and young man. He was loved and will be missed. This is such a difficult time. God bless and be with all of you. You are in our prayers.

Sad deal,48 was way too young! I worked with Todd for a few years at Larrys, taught me a few tricks that I still use today! To the family I'm sorry for your loss.

Thoughts and Prayers to the family so sorry for your loss. Todd was a great friend growing up and I still think of all the basketball games we had at his house as kids and so many ball games at the Field rest in peace my friend.

You will always be in our Hearts Todd. I know that God is comforting you...and know matter what you were going through I am so sorry for your suffering.
