Peterson family, our friends of over 60 years! I was deeply saddened when I heard that Jim had died. Please know that our thoughts and daily prayers are with all of you. When dad died I used an analogy in my eulogy to him. "Our loved ones are standing on the shore waiting to step on the boat and to embark on a new journey. As each one leaves those still waiting wave good-bye and feel sad because they are leaving us. The ship slowly fades in the distance and the top sails finally disappear. However, all those on the far shore are seeing the top sails as they begin to appear. They start to wave as the ship draws closer. Their excitement is hard to contain! Their rejoicing is real." I know that we will all see each other again. May your faith in the Savior's Gospel bring you peace and comfort. "The gospel is a transcendent message of hope, happiness, and joy. It is the pathway that leads us home."

Peterson Family:
So shocked and so very sorry to hear the news of Jimmy's passing. Our hearts ache for you all.
I still remember the day when you all announced to the neighborhood that your mom was pregnant (with Jimmy)... how exciting that was for you and for all of us. As I've seen your family a few times over the past few years, it's obvious how close you all have remained. What a blessing for Jimmy to have such wonderful siblings and for you all to have him.
We will all pray for him and for God's comfort to you all.

Jim made a hard first year at my school a much easier one, with his positivity, helpfulness, and simply by learning my name and greeting me warmly every day. He will be greatly missed by all.

Jim was a great co-worker and friend Jim was so kind to my special needs students. I enjoyed joking with him about many things but especially about his beloved Vikings!!! We bet candy on the games because I am a Packer Fan. I will miss him not being at our wedding and I also will miss baking for him. Our school lost a family member. I look forward to seeing him again at the East Gate of Heaven.

Oh Uncle Jim, I never thought we would be saying goodbye to you so soon. When I think of you, I think of being a kid and the countless hours you spent shooting hoops, playing wall ball and taking all of your nieces and nephews to the field. Having an uncle like you was nothing short of a blessing and I thank God for making us the lucky crew who got to call you family. I will never forget your kind heart and your wonderful belly laugh that always made me smile. You were excited for every one of our accomplishments and always so genuinely interested in everything that was going on in our lives. Though thinking of you not being here breaks my heart I know you have your toes in the water up in heaven and your relaxing on the beach like you loved. Rest In Peace Uncle Jim, I love you always.

In Luke 7:1-10, Jesus was in Capernaum. A centurion approached him and asked a favor of Him, his servant was sick and was dying. The centurian asked Jesus to heal him. "I have authority over a hundred men and if I ask one to do something I know it will be done, I need not see but I know if You say the word, my servant will be healed" Jesus replied, do you hear this man? Seldom have I seen such faith in the people of Israel. Go home, your faith has healed your servant! To our extended family, your faith has healed you!
With our Love and prayers, Amy and TJ.

Jim didn't have to try to set an example of kindness, a great attitude or even poise himself of a person of integrity its just who he was! He will be greatly missed! He set a great example that many should follow!
