Garland Moore, 58, passed away on November 16, 2018, in Des Moines. He was born in Johnston, Iowa to Ivyl and Linda Moore.
Garland was an outdoorsman at heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Garland never knew a stranger, was an animal lover, especially his yellow labs, and never missed a good sunrise or sunset.
Garland is survived by his son, Ben (Jessica) Moore; grandson, Cohen; parents, Ivyl and Linda Moore; brother, Larkin (Jeanne) Moore; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jody.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, in loving memory of Garland.

Gar,
We talked alot about beautiful sunrise and sunset. I fish, I love, and I shared a driving Brain with you, as we spoke about at G'pas funeral. I will Miss you forever cuz! Tell Grandma and Mama and everyone else "HI" ok? See ya'll soon. Allison
