Bounsou Sisamouth

Bounsou Sisamouth, age 93, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Bounsou was born March 5, 1926 in Laos. He worked as a mechanic for the US Military during the Vietnam War. He came to the United States in 1987. Bounsou enjoyed hunting, fishing, and activities outdoors. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Souk (Bangone Chaysavang) Sisamouth, Douang Chanh (Vhanh) Sisamouth, Bouaphanh (Nick) Johnson, Khamtanh (Bounpheng) Radavanh, Noy (Chanh) Kuangvanh, and Kham (Clover) Sisamouth, many grandchildren, two sisters, and daughter-in-law, Nevy Sisamouth.

Bounsou was preceded in death by his wife, Kanha and seven children.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
