Ronald "Ron" Kleywegt, 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, June 3, 2009. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 at Ss. John and Paul Catholic Church in Altoona. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines.
Ron was a journeyman with the Sheet Metal Local 45.
Ron is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Richie, John and Jacob Kleywegt; grandchildren, Alexia, Aaron and Ashlye Kleywegt; mother, Pat Kleywegt; brothers, John (Linda), Don and Bob (Cindy) Kleywegt; step-mother, Shirley Kleywegt; step-sister, Tracy (Rod) Cheney; many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Ronald Lee Kleywegt, Jr. and his father, John "Dutch" Kleywegt.

Dear Kathy,
My prayers are for you and your family during this time. I have some understanding of what you must be going through as my husband passed away suddenly and with no apparent reason at the age of 47. God will be your source of both strength and peace now. I am sorry for your loss.
