Dixie Crispin

Dixie Lee Crispin was born March 8, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa to Dorothy and Clarence Whisner. She passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle, Iowa.

Dixie enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed visiting the CMA Fests in Nashville. She also loved getting up early on weekends to go visit garage sales. Dixie enjoyed working many years and retired from UPS.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammi (Matt) Rose; grandchildren, Kara Van Cleave, Emily Hughes, Hunter Hughes; daughter, Holly (Mike) Lowis of Nebraska; brother, Merle “Butch” (Betty) Christianson; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Christianson of California and Barbara Whisner of Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews, and two great-grandchildren.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Clarence Whisner; brothers, Robert “Chris” Christianson, Jack Whisner; sister, Marjorie Healy; and niece, Marilyn Anderson.

There will be no services held at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice in loving memory of Dixie.

Dixie family, I am so very sorry to hear of Dixie passing. Dixie had a great soul. If you were her friend, she let you know you were good friends. She was a very down to earth person. She will be missed very much. Hold onto your memories. And keep a smile on your face, like she did.
