Mickey J. Belieu

Mickey Belieu was born in Des Moines on August 8, 1993, and passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2021.

Mickey had a spunk and charismatic charm about him that was contagious to those around him. He would do anything for anyone and bend over backwards for those he loved. Mickey had a way of making others smile and enjoyed his friends and family.

Mickey enjoyed listening to music, playing basketball, and fishing. But above all else, he loved being a father, his daughter was the light of his life.

Mickey is survived by his mom, Shayna Weir; dad, Michael Belieu; daughter, Hayden Monroe Belieu; significant other, Sabrina Barnes; siblings, Ryan (Tracy) Belieu, Sasha (Erick Morales) Belieu, Alijah (Jessica) Belieu, and Shawn Burke, Jr.; paternal grandma, Janet Belieu; maternal grandma, Patricia Weir; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Harold Belieu; maternal grandpa, George Weir; sister, Heather Belieu; niece, Katelyn Jo Belieu; uncle, Josey Weir; and his aunt, Brenda Bosier.

Family will greet friends from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines with a time of sharing memories at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
