To Linda's Family - - - While it has been over two years, I just recently learned of Linda's passing. I am an old friend from high school. I should say she was my best friend. After high school time and circumstances took us our separate ways and I regret, deeply, that we never met again.
Your Mom was absolutely the most positive, bubbly, and spirited person I have ever met. Our world is much sadder now that she no longer walks it. During our time, she meant the world to me and I am sad that I never had an opportunity to share that with her. I want each of you to know that because of her, I am a better person.
Please accept my condolences. I hope in some way, this message reaches you. I also hope time has healed your hearts some...the person I knew some 40 years ago would have wanted it that way.
Please tale care!

Just today I heard of Linda's death, and am so sorry I did now know in time to stop by the visitation. I had the joy of working with Linda on Oncology at Iowa Lutheran. In fact, Linda and a couple of other gals from Oncology helped at our wedding. Loren and I have been married 31 years, so as you can see, my fond memories of Linda and her gorgeous smile are just as the obituary picture conveyed.
Linda and I never had to opportunity to discuss MS. I had heard through a mutual friend we worked with that she had been diagnosed, but had lost track of her. I was diagnosed with MS at age 16 after I woke up with what looked like a stroke. It has now been almost 40 years, (I too am 55 yrs old) and I am one of the blessed ones after initial treatment - still in remission. My sister was diagnosed with MS about 10 years later, she has not been so blessed. Her disabilities still can be managed living at home, however, her ability to walk becomes increasingly more difficult even with a wheeled walker.
I want to convey the joy that Linda brought to our team on Oncology. Her nursing skills were exceptional, her personality a great fit for those we served in crisis, and her smile was such a addded blessing to the patients and families, and also to the team. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss.

Our hearts and thoughts are with you now. I have spent time today remembering all the good times we shared during your childhood. The excitement when you both were born and our efforts to get there as soon as possible so we could see you. I also remember with fondnes seeing the stair steps of cousins at Mike and Cyndie's house and your house in Omaha. Ian and Evan remember some Thanksgiving weekends to which I was not privy. I also remember how Linda was glowing during Adrienne's senior recital. I wish we could get there but logistics made it impossible. Remember we are thinking of you.
