Jeri and family,
As you know, Bruce and I went way back to childhood. I'll never forget all of the great times we had together in scouting, athletics, the outdoors and much more. Bruce was truly a fine man and I am grieving with you and for you.

Dear Jeri, David, Beth and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you-- we have fond memories of your family and of Bruce. We were remembering at breakfast the day that Bruce came to the parsonage to pick up the piano as a gift for you, Jeri. He was like a kid in a candy shop-- so excited with what he was about to do. I currently work as a hospice chaplain in Iowa City so was pleased to see that Bruce was in hospice care at his death-- they will continue to provide care for you through the next year-- or longer. Know that we are thinking of you and remembering Bruce-- his love for life and his joy for his family.
In Christ,
Rebecca, Phil and Joel Carver

What a friendship! Even though we saw each other very little the last few years, Bruce was like a member of the family in the sense that every conversation was simply an extension of the last one, no time lost. I have loved him as a friend for as many years as I have respected him as a brother. You are all still in our prayers.
