Ann S. Larkin

Ann Simpson Larkin, 70, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her home in Des Moines. She was born March 13, 1955, in Spokane, Washington to David and Charlotte (Simpson) Larkin.

Ann was a long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Des Moines. Ann will be remembered for her kindness and love she had for others. She had a strong faith and was very involved in her church, serving on the church staff and devoted to Bible study. She was a talented seamstress and loved to knit. She had many jobs throughout her life, but one that was particularly memorable was as a cab driver in Las Vegas.

Ann is survived by her sons, David Yankovich and Peter Yankovich; many grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews; and her special friends and caregivers, Larry and Theresa Foster and Melisa Kohler. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Doug Kitering.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
