Angela Carla Zenti, 91, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Born April 5, 1934, in Riva di Solto, Italy, to Abele and Pierina Zenti, Angela lived a life marked by deep faith, generosity, and unwavering independence.
A proud Italian devoted to her faith, Angie was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She attended daily Mass and participated faithfully in weekly adoration. She began her career at Look Magazine before joining Principal Financial, where she worked for many years. Outside of work, she lived a rich and joyful life. She loved sports, especially horse racing and any event where an Italian was part of the competition. A spirited and competitive person, Angie enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and loved the energy and excitement of Prairie Meadows. She was also proud to volunteer with organizations such as the Italian American Cultural Center, staying connected to her heritage and community.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Tino (Carmella) Zenti and Mario (Shirley) Zenti. She is survived by her brothers, Benjamin (Vonnie) Zenti and Louis (Cecelia) Zenti; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a large circle of friends and extended family who will miss her.

I will forever cherish my memories of Aunt Angie. She was always fun to talk to— interested in you and what you were doing, asking questions, making funny comments. She supported me while I followed my path in WDC, which I will never forget. Rest in eternal peace, Aunt Angie

Our deepest sympathy to the family. I remember Angie from our Bankers Life days. Bob Houser was CEO at the time too. Her smile and laugh lit up a dull day.
