Anthony Wayne Pinckney

Anthony Wayne Pinckney, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed unexpectedly at Methodist Hospital on Thursday, May 21st on his 56th birthday. He was born the son of Clarence and Linda (Foster) Pinckney on May 21, 1970 in Des Moines.

Anthony graduated from Ruby Van Meter School in Des Moines. He was a long-time employee of Pizza Ranch in Ankeny and most recently had been working for Hy Vee in Altoona. He was a cat dad, a Hawkeye fan, and he lived for the Iowa State Fair, going four times every year. Tony had the best laugh and an innocent joy about life that was infectious.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish Anthony’s memory include his sister, Teri Maxwell and his cat, Miley. He is missed by friends, Mandi Benson, Meggen Kramer, Collin Traylor, Amy Robbins, and many other loving friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents.
