Bobby Berstler

Bobby Bill Berstler, age 61, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Bobby was born June 29, 1963, to Lavon and Leona Berstler. He has been a resident of the Des Moines area since 2000, previously living in Cedar Rapids and North English, Iowa. He worked in IT. Bobby enjoyed traveling, and especially cruises. He liked karaoke with his friends, and was a “foodie” who enjoyed a good meal and drinks.
He is survived by his siblings, Barry Berstler and Bonita Munholland, both of Wichita Falls, TX; nieces and nephews, Jake Munholland and family of Wichita Falls, TX, Joseph Munholland and family of Bonham, TX, Amanda Josefy and family, Jonathan Munholland and family, Jeffrey Munholland and family, and Misty Reading-Munholland and family, all of Wichita Falls, TX. He is also survived by close friends, Glenda Mason and family of Oklahoma, Lonita Maarel and family of Missouri, Deb Bird and family of New Sharon, IA, Angela Sadler and family of Arkansas, and Christina Parsons and family of Missouri.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Lavon and Leona Berstler; brother in law, Jerry Munholland; and great-great nephew, Evander Tramel.
Cremation will occur and there will be a Celebration of Life event with details to follow.

My sincerest condolences to Bobby's family. He was a co-worker of mine at the City and his office was in my department. Although I did not know him for a long time, he was a very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and caring individual. He was a great conversationalist! He will be deeply missed.
