Bradley "Popeye" Alan Davis

Bradley “Popeye” Alan Davis, 34, passed away tragically due to a motorcycle accident.

Brad was born February 23, 1991, in Des Moines, Iowa to Jamey and Missy Dunlap.

He loved living an exciting life outdoors, fishing, kayaking, tubing down the river, and hunting. He also loved riding dirt bikes, riding his motorcycle, and being a professional MMA fighter. Most of all, Popeye loved his kids more than anything; he was a big family man.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Marjie Davis; children, Keigen, Adalayde, Rayah, and Ryker; sister, Marsha (Nate) Davidson; brother, Thomas (Haley) Dunlap; brothers, Trenton, Jacob, Logan, and Chucky; all of his nieces and nephews, Matthew, Presley, Hadley, Shell, Marsha, Ariea, Dallas, Hazel, and a new niece or nephew on the way; as well as many cousins, extended family, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas “Jamey” James Dunlap on January 30, 2025; mother, Melissa “Missy” Sue Dunlap on February 17, 2025; grandparents, Claude and Linda Davis, Frank and Lois Pering, and Harold and Doni Dunlap; and his aunts and uncles, Matt Dunlap, Michelle Madison, and Marsha Davis.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, also at Hamilton’s. Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Woodland Cemetery, 29177 650th Avenue, Maxwell, IA 50161.
