On May 12th, Breanna—known by many as Bre—gained her angel wings as she was called home to eternal paradise in Heaven.

Breanna was living and working in Dallas, Texas, at the time of her passing.

Born on July 4, 1993, in Des Moines, Iowa, she grew up in the country outside of Bondurant. Bre spent her childhood exploring the woods behind her home, singing and dancing to pop music, and caring for the family pets. She graduated from Bondurant-Farrar High School and later studied Culinary Arts at DMACC.

Bre had a deep love for music and a passion for cooking. For her, food was a form of creativity, expression, and love. Whether through her delicious meals or shared photos, her culinary creations brought joy to those around her. She also had a strong passion for health and wellness. As an avid gym-goer, Bre loved strength training and fueling her body with nutritious food. Her commitment to a healthy lifestyle reflected the strength she carried in all aspects of her life. She loved hosting bonfires and get-togethers, filling every gathering with warmth and laughter.

She held many roles in life—daughter, granddaughter, sister, sister-in-law, niece, and friend—but one of the most cherished was being a mother to her son, Jaxson, who passed away in 2017 at just three months old. Their bond remains eternal, and we take comfort knowing they are now reunited.

Breanna was a kind and compassionate soul—always quick with a smile, a listening ear, and a helping hand. Her strength and resilience were unmatched, and her capacity to love ran deep. She touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her parents, Todd and Lynn Omundson; her sister, Taylor (Jordan) Chaplin; all of her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jaxson; her aunt, Diana Johnson; and her uncle, Robert Johnson.

We will forever hold close the memories of her laughter, her meals, her stories, and most of all, her love. Rest in peace, Bre. Give baby Jaxson our love. You will always be in our hearts.
