Barbara Ann Vignaroli

Barbara Ann Vignaroli, 90, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 17, 2026.
Barbara was born in Des Moines, at home on December 4, 1935, daughter of Nick and Mary Ann (Lucia) DePhillips.
Barbara attended St Joseph’s Elementary School and St Joseph’s Academy graduating in 1954. After graduation, she worked at N.W. Bell until she took a break from working to work at home caring for her children. Barbara later returned to work for CenturyLink until her retirement.
Barbara was very active at Christ the King Catholic Church and an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Religion was an important part of her life. After she became ill, she watched the Catholic channel daily, enjoying anywhere from two to four masses daily.
Barbara is survived by her husband Angelo “Mike” Vignaroli; daughter, Laura; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews, cousins and some very special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Milo (Judy) DePhillips, Mary Lou (John) Kauzlarich and Maxine (Jerry) Carey; and her beloved son, Joseph.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street. A luncheon will follow immediately after the funeral mass at the church. A private family burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Christ the King Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice in loving memory of Barbara.
