Betty Lindman, 92, passed away April 19, 2024. She was born December 13, 1931 in Jennings, Kansas. Betty was a long-time resident of Des Moines. She was a bartender for many years. From the days of key clubs to her retirement 1993 at a neighborhood bar. She worked all over the city including, The Bon Ton, Harding Tap, Brownies and the Gaslight. She worked for Jim Carson, Ray Mercer, Ron Riley and even worked for the famed Ruthie. In 1993, she retired from Stan’s and her “Firestone Guys”.

Not one to be idle long, Betty returned to work as a change seller at Prairie Meadows for a period of time. Once she decided full-time work was enough, she continued to work part-time at Goodwill.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Donna Kelso Roush and Carol Kelso; and granddaughter, Shawn Kelso.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Weilbrenner.

Betty’s wishes were to be cremated with no services.
