Burlen L. Ross

Burlen Louis Ross, age 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025. He was born December 29, 1931, in Des Moines, Iowa to Burlen Buford Ross and Claudia Bell (Small) Ross. He enjoyed rebuilding old cars. Burlen is survived by his children, Lona (Brian) Shipley, Burlen (Mary) Ross, and Brenda Ross; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, also at Hamilton’s, and will conclude with burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Pleasant Hill.
