Constance L. Farris

Constance Louise (Popejoy) Farris was born August 20, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Virgil and Viola May (Reed) Popejoy. She was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. Her family was her priority, and she took great pride in creating a loving and organized home for them. She was primarily a homemaker, but also worked at Edwards Graphic Arts Bindery. Connie had a strong faith, and reading her Bible daily gave her joy and comfort. She was a devoted member of Faith Independent Assembly of God Church.

Connie passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society in Indianola, Iowa. She was 83 years old.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Leon, and daughter-in-law, Alisa McCombs, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her sister, Joyce Gunderson.

Connie was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon McCombs, Sr.; second husband, Marvin House; third husband, Dan Farris; and her children, Steven McCombs and Laurie McCombs.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Independent Assembly of God Church on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
