Christina C. Heater

Christina Colleen Heater, age 74, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Christina was born November 5, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa to Harlan and Beverly Heater. She was a self-employed business owner. Christina loved the outdoors and traveling. She attended St. Theresa Catholic Church. She loved music and attending concerts. Her favorite bands were the Grateful Dead and The Who. She also wrote quirky poetry.

She is survived by her children, Josh Wood, Gabriel Heater, and Eva (Justin) Liggins; grandchildren, Sienna, Jacob, Harlan, Ronan, Freya, Kassidy, and four other grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Christina was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Brian Crees.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Cremation will follow the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family.
