Carol Lynne Beveridge

Carol Lynne Beveridge, 65, passed peacefully into rest on August 7, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with autoimmune disease.

Born July 18, 1961, Carol was a strong, independent, and dependable woman who had a remarkable ability to make people feel like family. To Carol, family was never defined solely by blood. Through the years, she built a large and loving circle of family, friends, and chosen family who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts. Carol had a diverse and fulfilling career, including many years as an employee at Olan Mills and work in electronics engineering. She ultimately retired from Red Rock Community Center, where she spent her time doing what came most naturally to her – helping others. Her generosity and willingness to lend a hand touched countless lives.

An avid traveler, Carol enjoyed exploring many states and even ventured into Canada. She held a deep appreciation for Native American culture, loved animals, and was a devoted Atlanta Braves fan. She also found joy in getting lost in the pages of Patricia Cornwell and Janet Evanovich novels. Carol lived a life defined by giving, strength, and love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Kellogg and Larry Beveridge.

She leaves behind her three daughters, Randi Beveridge (Modde), Kati Beveridge, and Caci Beveridge (Palmer); her niece, Janelle Baker; her sisters, Donna Davis, Karen Beveridge (Vinzant), and Rose Sonderleiter; her aunt, Judy Waltz; her grandsons, Robby, Eli, and A.J. Barr; and, most especially, the light of her life and her beloved grandson, Vincent Beveridge. She also leaves behind many dear friends and loved ones who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Today we celebrate Carol not only for the life she lived, but for the strength, resolve, kindness, and love she shared with those around her. While her absence leaves an immeasurable emptiness, we choose to honor her in the way she would want – with love, with laughter, and by sharing that love with one another.

Carol will be forever remembered, forever loved, and never forgotten.

There will be a celebration of life Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Grand View University – Henning Student Center, 2811 E 14th Street, Des Moines, IA 50316. Please use the elevator to the second floor.
