Christin Morton
November 21, 1961 — May 19, 2026
Christin Morton passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 . She leaves behind her devoted husband Rupert Morton of Missouri, her mother Jean Niffenegger, her sisters Carla (Carl) Esterman of Norwalk and Susan (Chris) Palso of West Des Moines, her two daughters Emily (Trevor) Barrett , Laura (Brian) Morris, and her step children Charlie (Sarah )Morton and Jessica Morton. She is also survived by her grandchildren Evelyn, Lily, Henry, & Ruby Barrett, Rylee Morris, and Susanna, Jedidiah, Clifford, and Elsie Morton. While her family grieves her loss here on earth, they find comfort knowing she has been reunited with those she loved.
She will be remembered for her joyful heart, her love for family, and the light she brought into the lives of so many. Though deeply missed, her family finds peace in knowing her spirit lives on in the memories, love, and faith she shared so freely. Her vibrant spirit could brighten any room, and her exuberance carried her through life with grace and strength.
She will also be remembered for her love of shopping, and her incredible shoe collection! Christin's love language was gift giving, and she doted on her family, grandchildren, and mini dachshunds, Penny and Molly, every chance she got. When she wasn't dropping off surprises for her grandchildren, she enjoyed attending local dances at the Croatian Center with Rupe and traveling with him to visit family and friends all over the country.
Christin was welcomed into heaven by her father, James Niffenegger, and her beloved sister, Cathy. With Christin and Cathy together, Heaven just got a lot more fun!
Christin was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter. She was also a devoted clearance aisle connoisseur and her crazy gifts, her wonderful personality, and her deep love will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family to be used at a later date.

This was such a shock, Are Deepest Sympathy to Rupert and the Family. May you find Peace in the days to come, by knowing who she's with now. One Day At A time. Sweet Jesus ! I live diagonally from Christine. Going to miss seeing her in the yard and talking with her. And on the phone at times. I remember when she came to my garage sale one time and bought a pair of boots from me, I'm sure to go dancing at the Croatian. I would always give her my potted plants when I was done with them (outdoor) Not sure what she did with them all. lol I only have one this year. Hmm She was a Good neighbor, It"'s not the same. MYRIP Roz and Randy.
