Christopher Saywnken Browne

Christopher Saywnken Browne was born May 15, 2026, to Samuel and Mariam Browne. He was welcomed into a large and loving family and brought joy to all who knew him. He sadly passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026.

He will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Samuel and Mariam; his siblings, Mangoben, Alice, Benjamin, Samuel Jr., Carl, Dennis, and Jessie; his grandmother, Sarah Weah; his aunts and uncles, Alice and Carl Anku, Isaac and Chanita Browne, Ami Kamaram, Jenabey Kamaran, and Mateny Kamaram; great-uncle, John Browne; and many extended family and caring friends, both in Liberia and closer to home in Iowa.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery after the funeral.
