Clara Bogle

Clara Irene Bogle, 92, passed away January 7, 2026.

She was born March 9, 1933 in Lovilia, Iowa to her parents, Amos and Ethel Hutchison. Clara enjoyed the simple things like cooking, eating at Perkins, and daily trips to Hyvee. She also enjoyed talking to friends and family on the phone for hours. Clara was content with what she had and always found something to be thankful for. She also enjoyed watching game shows including, “Wheel of Fortune”, “Price is Right”, and “The Lawrence Welk Show”. One of her fondest memories was attending a filming of “Price is Right” while visiting her son in California while he was in the Navy. After Clara moved to Martina Place Assisted Living she also found enjoyment in playing Bingo, going on fieldtrips, and getting her hair and nails done weekly.

She is survived by her son, Anthony LaSala; grandchildren, Joseph (Ashley) LaSala and Sarah LaSala; and great grandson, Anthony Michael LaSala; and brother, Bob Hutchison.

Clara was preceded in death by her husbands, Max Bogle and Michele LaSala; son, Michael LaSala; parents; and siblings, Francis “Red” Hutchison, Jack Hutchison, Paul Hutchison, Nola LeAir, Betty Hill, and Elnora Hutchison.

Family will greet friends at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be immediately after the funeral services at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
