Donald D. Hills

February 25, 1935 — May 24, 2025

Service Details

Donald D. Hills, 90, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Kay on May 24, 2025. His health declined over the past year with him meeting each new challenge with strength and determination. This was how he lived his life.

He started a building restoration business, All States Building Renovation, with his son Don and for over 23 years, with drive and perseverance, built a successful business. He also worked on his own property, constructing multiple additions onto his house. He didn’t hire a company to do this but with his strong work ethic, and assistance from his wife and son, they made it happen.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a huge fan of boxing and enjoyed annual birthday trips to the theater to watch live boxing matches with his grandson. Don had a big heart and was all about his family. Several nieces and nephews spent summers at his house. A true lover and protector of animals, Don brought many animals into his home - a varied menagerie of the common dogs and cats, to a horse and many injured birds, to the truly exotic, a monkey which he caught in his own back yard.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Kay, parents Fred and Hildreth, siblings Fred, Ruth, Bob and Beverly, and his grandson Don Allen. He is survived by his son Donald Scott (Lynda), and his grandchildren Kara (Travis) and Derrik (Jessica).
