Donald Jennings, age 81, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at his residence in Des Moines, Iowa.

Don was born September 12, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Maxine Jennings.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for a telephone company as an installer until his retirement. He was lovingly known to many as “Uncle Don”.

He is survived by many loving family members and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jacquelin “Jackie” Jennings, his niece, Dawn Sinnott, and his best friend, Sophie.

There will be a celebration of Don’s life at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
