Darlene (Witherell) Jordan

Darlene Jordan, fondly remembered by family and friends, passed away peacefully in Webster City, Iowa on August 16, 2025. Born as Darlene Witherell on March 24, 1930, in Des Moines, Iowa, she was the beloved daughter of Leon and Margaret Witherell and cherished sister of Joyce Witherell.

Darlene graduated from East High School in Des Moines and married the love of her life, Charles Jordan, on July 20, 1948. Together, they built a family filled with love and devotion, raising four children: Gary Jordan, Richard “Rick” Jordan, Sharon Jordan Halling, and Charles “Chuck” Jordan, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents Leon and Margaret, her sister Joyce, her eldest son Gary, and granddaughter Sherrie Riggs.

Darlene’s legacy is carried forward by her children: Rick Jordan, Sharon Halling, Chuck Jordan and his wife Kathy, and daughter-in-law Sandy Jordan, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Darlene touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines.
