Deborah Mercer

Deborah Mercer, 58, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at her home in Des Moines.

Deborah was born January 17, 1967, in Des Moines, Iowa. She liked riding motorcycles and loved her dogs.

She is survived by her children, David, Lynsie, and Charles; sisters, Donna, Diana, and Kellie; mother, Julia; step-father, Lewis; and many grandchildren.

Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wade Mercer and her father, Jerry Fisher.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Omg I had no idea Deb is gone she was my best friend I loved her with all my heart. She helped me get through a tough time in my life and I taught her to almost rode a motorcycle she ran over me. My heart is sad. I love you Deb be with the angels now not the inmates
