Darin Lamonte Sullivan was born on April 4, 1971, at the Winterset hospital. He was the son of Marilla (Sivadge) Sullivan Robbins and Arthur Jr. Sullivan. He passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the age of 54. He has been living in Des Moines for several years.

Darin grew up in Martensdale, IA trying several sports, but especially loved playing rough and tumble football in the Sullivan yard with friends and his two older brothers. Eventually, he picked up drumsticks and really enjoyed playing on his drum set even more. He enjoyed fishing with his Dad and also working at Living History Farms where he mowed using the big John Deere tractor and visiting with people.

Darin is survived by his son Dylan (Kamy) Sullivan of Gardner, KS; mother Marilla of Des Moines; siblings Joe (Audra) Sullivan of Ft. Worth, TX, Kimberly (Tom) Leonetti of Ft. Worth, TX, and Ruston (Lynette) Sullivan of Carlisle, IA. Darin was very proud of his many nieces and nephews.

The Sharing and Celebrating of Darin’s Life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Carlisle Baptist Church, 615 Highway 5, Carlisle, Iowa.
