Dale was a man of deep dedication—to his family and his career. He earned his degree from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conservation. Dale went on to build a distinguished career with the United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation, retiring as the Assistant State Soil Scientist, where his expertise and commitment made a lasting impact on conservation and agricultural stewardship in Iowa.

On February 25, 1978, Dale married the love of his life Kathy, with whom he shared decades of partnership, laughter, and devotion. Together, they raised three sons: Christopher (Marissa Kuiken) Ceolla, Jonathan (Katie) Ceolla, and Nicholas Ceolla. Dale was also a proud and loving grandfather to Charlotte and Jackson Ceolla, whose presence filled his heart with pride and joy.

He is also survived by his sister, Diane (Todd) Knight and sister-in-law, Mary Ceolla. Dale was a caring brother and uncle whose warmth and humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Ceolla (nee Kanhy); his brother, Dennis Ceolla; and his father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Audrey Phippen.

A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, Dale could often be found cheering on his team with passion and loyalty. Whether casting a line on a quiet lake or sharing stories, he found peace and connection in the natural world.
