Dan Merrifield

Dan Merrifield, 65, passed away at his home on June 14, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Dan was born October 5, 1959 to James and Betty (Ingvall) Merrifield in Estherville, Iowa. The family moved to the Des Moines area when he was an infant. He retired from Eagle Iron in 2021 after many years of service in shipping and receiving. Dan was an avid Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball fan as well as an Iowa Cubs fan. He also enjoyed fishing.

Dan is survived by his sisters, Connie Merrifield and Kay (John) McClure; brother, Gary (Kim) Merrifield; many nieces and nephews; and host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Merrifield;
