Dan passed away on March 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with stage four prostate cancer. He was born on August 23, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa to Daniel and Pearl (Lyons) Snelson. Danny graduated from East High School in 1971. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1971 – 1973. Dan loved his family and was a strong man of faith!

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Debra “Debbie”; sons, Adam (Angel) Snelson, John (Angie) Meek, and Tyler Snelson (Kate Callan); ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his sister, Denise Greiner.

A celebration of life will be held on April 18, 2026, at Des Moines Elks Lodge.
