Darlene Harper

Darlene Mae Harper, 87, passed away July 7, 2025.

She and her two siblings were born July 8, 1937 in Forest City, Iowa to their parents, Carl and Cora Lovik on the families Century Farm. Darlene was proud of her Norwegian heritage. She enjoyed cross stitching, quilting, and puzzles. Darlene also enjoyed music specifically, Polka and Country. She belonged to the Polka Club of Iowa along with her husband for many years.

Darlene is survived by her sons, David Harper and Scott Harper; granddaughter, Alysa Harper-Gilbert; and sister, Donna Anderson; caregiver, Wendy Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Harper; parents; and siblings, Evelyn, Carroll, Harold, and Dollie; and granddaughter, Katerra Harper.
