Darrell Robert Shull

Darrell Robert Shull, age 77, passed away on June 16, 2026. Darrell was born on October 8, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Robert and Jewell (Davis) Shull.

He graduated from East High School in 1966 and went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969.

Throughout his life, Darrell possessed a deep passion for collecting. He ultimately turned his love for antiques into a career by operating his own businesses. Above all else, Darrell cherished his family and found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren. Making memories with them was what he treasured most.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jewell (Davis) Shull; his sister and brother-in-law, Laraine and Robert "Bob" Merrifield; and his nephew, Blake Merrifield.

Darrell is survived by his children: daughter, Sherry Shull and son, Steven (Anna) Shull; his granddaughters, Kaidyn and Violet; and his grandson, Henry.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa.

Darrell's remains will be laid to rest at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa.
