Dave and I didn't work on the same team at Danfoss, but I always enjoyed talking with him and we shared a dry, snarky sense of humor. I'm so sorry to read that you've lost such a dear man. Please know that many Danfoss friends will never forget "Rarick" (there were too many guys named Dave at work... so he was affectionately known by his last name). Praying for God's peace and for memories to help you smile through the tears.

I was so sad, when Sean Campbell sent a copy of David’s obituary. I had no idea Dave was ill. Dave and I met in college and lived on SAGE house in the towers at ISU. Dave and I used to fly wire control, gas powered airplanes together, east of the towers. We attended football games together and participated in the “suicide sled” floor activities in SAGE house. I last had the pleasure of visiting with Dave at Danfoss during work. John Deere and Danfoss worked together on hydraulics. Dave was a GREAT person and will definitely be missed.

We started out as neighbors with Dave and Melissa, and before we knew it we became close friends who spent a lot of life together raising our families. Whether it was hanging out while the kids played, garage parties, sharing dinners, celebrations, and countless everyday moments that turned into some of our favorite memories. He had a great sense of humor, and was always up for a neighborhood project, like ripping out a bathtub. We enjoyed vacations together in Orange Beach, and had a double vow renewal ceremony on one of those trips. When we took salsa dancing lessons, it was hard to concentrate because we couldn’t stop laughing. He was there to help our kids when high school math classes were more than we could handle. He provided his knowledge and advice on hunting with our son, which grew his interest in the sport which he loves to this day. We always had a good time no matter what we did. But above all he was a good person, a devoted family man, and a truly great friend.
